New voter registration cards sent out ... all registered voters in Henry County can expect to receive a new voter registration card in the mail. Upon receipt of the new yellow voter registration card, please verify your name and address. If both your name and address are correct, please keep the card to use for identification when voting. If the information on the new card is incorrect, please fill out the correct information on the back of the card and return to the voter registration office. If you do not receive a new voter registration card within the next week and you believe that you are registered to vote, please contact the voter registration office at 660-885-7206. Also, there will now be only one Windsor voting location ... Windsor IOOF Lodge, 216 W. Benton Street. There are still three Wards, however, only one voting location. Hours to vote are 6 am to 7 pm.

 

Notice of Filing ... An election is hereby ordered to be held in the City of Windsor, Missouri, on Tuesday, 3 April 2012, for the purpose of electing the following officers for said city: One member of the Board of Aldermen, Ward 1, term two (2) years, one member of the Board of Aldermen Ward 2, term two (2) years, and one member of the Board of Aldermen Ward 3, term two (2) years. The first day for candidates to file for the above listed officers is 8 am, Tuesday, 13 December 2011, the the last day to file is Monday, 17 January 2012. The last day to register to vote is 7 March 2012.

Windsor Wards Described

CHAPTER 130:  ELECTIONS

SECTION 130.010: WARDS

A. The City of Windsor shall be divided into three (3) Wards as follows:

1. First Ward.  Shall include all that part of the City lying north and easterly of a boundary line described as starting at the intersection of the North City Limits and the mid point of the MKT Railroad Right of Way, thence southwesterly along the middle of said Railroad Right of Way to its intersection with Taylor Street, thence southeast on Taylor Street to its intersection with Commercial Street thence southwest on Commercial Street to its intersection with West Florence Street thence southeast along West Florence Street to its intersection with Main Street thence southwesterly along Main Street to the intersection of Main Street and Benton Street thence southeasterly along Benton Street to its intersection with Jackson Street thence westerly on Jackson Street to the intersection of Jackson Street and Smith Street thence south on Smith Street to the south City limits.

2. Second Ward. Shall include all that part of the City lying southeasterly of a boundary line described as beginning at the intersection of the south City limits and Missouri Highway 52 thence northeasterly along Highway 52 (Main Street) to the intersection of Highway 52 (Main Street) and Benton Street thence following the boundary of the First Ward at Benton Street south to the City limits.

3. Third Ward. Shall include all that part of the City lying north and westerly of a boundary line described as beginning at the intersection of the south City limits and Missouri Highway 52 thence northeast along Highway 52 (Main Street) to the intersection of Highway 52 and West Florence Street thence northwesterly along West Florence to its intersection with Commercial Street thence northeasterly along Commercial Street to its intersection with Taylor Street thence northwest to the MKT Railroad thence northeasterly along the MKT Railroad to the north City limits.

B. Maps of Boundaries.  A map of the boundaries of the three (3) Wards shall be published and maintained in the City records and one (1) shall be posted at City Hall.
