Recycling Trailer Information

Hours of operation:
24/7

Location:  Behind the Windsor Post Office, just off the alley between Benton and Florence Streets

The list of accepted materials are:
Aluminum cans, steel (tin) cans, newspaper, office paper, junk mail, shredded paper in paper bags, paperboard (cereal boxes, etc.), corrugated cardboard, magazines, telephone books, catalogs, paper and hardback books, plastics
(1-7), and clothing items.

Sorry, glass is not accepted at this time.

Guidelines:
All food containers must be completely empty, briefly rinsed, and contain no food.  Also, please rinse liquid soap containers.  Failure to do so will contaminate other recyclables and is also unhealthy for the workers and volunteers involved in the recycling process.  NO LIQUIDS!  Boxes must be flattened.  All caps or lids must be removed from plastic bottles because they are not recyclable.  No kitty litter bags, fertilizer bags, pesticide bags, or plastic bags of any kind are accepted, even if they have a triangle and number because they clog up the sorting process.  No plastic toys or PVC pipe is accepted because they are not recyclable.  No Styrofoam.  No containers from automotive products, hazardous materials, or acids are accepted.  No household trash, only clean recyclables please.  There is no need to sort your recyclables.  No diapers or bio-hazardous waste; i.e., syringes.  No hazardous waste such as paint, automotive fluids, car batteries, and pesticides.  No scrap metal.  No materials in bags, except for shredded paper in paper bags.  No yard waste or construction materials.  No used oil, scrap tires, or other items that are banned from landfills.

Thank you for recycling!
